Join our Mead Club!

Show your support for a local artisan product, and tantalize your friends with something different at your next dinner party! When you become a member of our Mead Club, you get 2 bottles of our featured varietal--one to drink, and one to share with a friend--shipped to you each time (or held for pickup at the Ross Valley Winery for local folks).

Our meads are very reasonably priced, so you can try something new without a pain in the wallet: each shipment is only $38 plus shipping and handling. We ship 4 times a year (every three months). Plus, Mead Club members get 10% off all additional purchases of Beowulf meads (20% off a case of 12!) and have access to special sales and small reserve batches that aren't made available to the regular public.

Club members also get invites to exclusive special events--and believe us, we know how to throw a party!

Click here to purchase your Mead Club Membership online, or give us a call at (415) 491-0908 and we'll get you set up.

Mead, or honey wine, is humanity's most ancient of fermented beverages. It has captured our collective imagination across a multitude of cultures, and has long been a traditional festive beverage for celebrations and weddings. We have recreated this ancient beverage to please a modern palate: our award-winning formulas finish drier than most traditional meads, hinting at sweetness without being heavy in sugars.

Beowulf Mead is a Marin County, California establishment, working in partnership with Ross Valley Winery in San Anselmo, California, to produce a top quality, artisan product made with local and regional ingredients. All our mead is handcrafted by our meadmaster, Joshua Archer .

There could be no mead without honey, but did you know there would be no agriculture without bees? Recognizing that the current crisis in bee colony health affects more than just meadmakers, Beowulf Mead donates a portion of all profits to bee research.
